چکیده
We introduce the generalization of Slave-Spin Mean-Field method to broken-symmetry phases. Through a variational approach we derive single-particle energy shift in mean-field equations which generates appropriate self-consistent field responsible for stabilization broken symmetry. Slave - boson mean - field theory of spin - and orbital - ordered states in the degenerate Hubbard model ∗
The mean-field theory with the use of the slave-boson functional method is generalized to take account of the spinand orbital-ordered state in the doubly degenerate Hubbard model. Some numerical calculations are presented of the antiferromagnetic orbital-ordered state in the half-filled simple-cubic model. The orbital order in the present theory is much reduced compared with that in the Hartree...

The self-energy-functional approach is a powerful many-body tool to investigate different broken symmetry phases of strongly correlated electron systems. We use the variational cluster perturbation theory (also called the variational cluster approximation) to investigate the interplay between the antiferromagnetism and d-wave superconductivity of κ-(ET)2 X conductors. These compounds are desc...
متن کاملItinerant ferromagnetism in the multiorbital Hubbard model: a dynamical mean-field study.
In order to resolve the long-standing issue of how itinerant ferromagnetism is affected by lattice structure and Hund's coupling, we compare various three-dimensional lattice structures in the single- and multiorbital Hubbard models with the dynamical mean-field theory with an improved quantum Monte Carlo algorithm that preserves the spin-SU(2) symmetry. The result indicates that both the latti...
متن کاملBroken Replica Symmetry Bounds in the Mean Field Spin Glass Model
By using a simple interpolation argument, in previous work we have proven the existence of the thermodynamic limit, for mean field disordered models, including the Sherrington-Kirkpatrick model, and the Derrida p-spin model. Here we extend this argument in order to compare the limiting free energy with the expression given by the Parisi Ansatz, and including full spontaneous replica symmetry br...
متن کاملDynamical correlations in multiorbital Hubbard models: fluctuation exchange approximations.
We study the two-band degenerate Hubbard model using the fluctuation exchange approximation (FLEX) and compare the results with quantum Monte Carlo (QMC) calculations. Both the self-consistent and the non-self-consistent versions of the FLEX scheme are investigated. We find that, unlike in the one-band case, in the multiband case, good agreement with the quantum Monte Carlo results is obtained ...
